The upgrade corner caps don’t seem to match my mx4. What gives?

I had a tail corner cap(drivers side) that flew off somewhere during a long drive. Received an upgrade kit to replace the cap, but the cap styles are completely different, and the directions are way too vague.. what gives? Is there two different styles of mx4?

Yes, there are different parts for the MX4 old version vs. the new version. The corners have been updated. The PARTS-351S0001 fits older versions of the cover, while PARTS-356S0058 fits newer versions. They are not cross-compatible. To determine if you need the new or old version of the bakflip tonneau cover parts, check the image, serial number, or confirm the presence of corners on the cab end of the cover. As the newer version would have cap in front of the cab and at the end of the tailgate. On the underside of the newer PARTS-356S0058, you'll notice that the part that screws down is oriented differently. The BAKFlip MX4 upgrade kit will help ensure compatibility.
