You do not need the Flat-4 trailer wiring to operate the Enthuze 4.4 cu ft Salt Spreader (Part No. ENT-HITCH-TSS).
The unit is designed to be plug-and-play with a standard 2″ rear hitch receiver and operates using the included wireless remote, so all normal salt-spreading functions work without any trailer wiring connection.
The mention of “requires Flat-4 trailer wiring; sold separately” only applies if you plan to use optional accessories, such as additional running lights or trailer-style auxiliary power. For standard operation and wireless remote control, no Flat-4 wiring is required.
