AVS · High-Profile Hood Protector

AVS 25980 Bugflector II for 2022–2026 Ford Maverick

AVS 25980 is the vehicle-specific dark-smoke Bugflector II for 2022–2026 Ford Maverick. The high-profile wrap-around shield follows the Maverick hood contour, stands off the paint for cleaning and helps intercept insects, dirt and common road debris.

Features & Benefits

  • High-profile wrap-around shape: follows the hood and extends protection toward the hood corners.
  • Off-the-hood mounting: leaves a cleaning gap between the shield and painted surface.
  • Impact-resistant acrylic: resists UV exposure, scratches and common road debris.
  • Dark smoke finish: adds a glossy, vehicle-specific appearance.
  • No-drill installation: uses the exact application’s adhesive and/or supplied fasteners.
  • Car-wash compatible: designed for automated washing after correct installation and adhesive cure.

Fitment & Compatibility

Application: 2022–2026 Ford Maverick. It is custom-moulded for this compact pickup hood and is not interchangeable with Ranger, F-150 or Bronco Sport protectors.

What’s Included & What Is Separate

  • One vehicle-specific 25980 hood protector.
  • Application adhesive and/or no-drill fasteners plus instructions, according to the exact kit.
  • Replacement adhesive, paint repair supplies and other exterior accessories are separate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Which vehicle does this exact part fit?

A: Part 25980 fits 2022–2026 Ford Maverick according to current exact-part application records.

Q: Is it a universal hood protector?

A: No. The protector is custom-moulded for the stated hood and trim application.

Q: Does installation require drilling?

A: No. AVS specifies adhesive, no-drill fasteners or both for this exact style; use only the included application method.

Q: What is the protector made from?

A: It uses impact-resistant acrylic with a dark-smoke, UV- and scratch-resistant finish.

Q: Will it stop every stone or bug?

A: No. It helps shield the hood’s leading edge and manage airflow/debris, but cannot prevent every impact or windshield strike.

Q: Can it go through a car wash?

A: AVS describes the properly installed protector as car-wash safe after the adhesive has fully cured. Inspect it before automated washing.

Q: Can it be moved after installation?

A: Adhesive-mounted protectors should be positioned correctly on the first installation. Removal may damage the adhesive and require replacement tape.

Q: What warranty applies?

A: AVS lists a limited lifetime warranty for qualifying material or workmanship defects for the original purchaser, subject to current exclusions and proof of purchase.
