Dometic · RV Roof Vent Cover

Dometic U1400BL Ultra Breeze Black Vent Cover

Dometic U1400BL is the black Ultra Breeze exterior cover for a standard 14 × 14-inch RV roof vent, including compatible Fan-Tastic Vent installations. Its raised thermoplastic dome and single vented side shield the roof opening from rain while preserving airflow. Dometic superseded U1400BL with part number 9600001937; verify the current package number when ordering.

Fit and function

  • Fits standard 14 × 14-inch RV roof-vent openings and compatible vent housings.
  • Exterior cover only; it sits over the existing vent/fan and does not replace the roof vent itself.
  • Single-side vent opening helps shed rain and road spray while allowing ventilation.
  • Provides space for a compatible vent lid to open and a roof fan to operate underneath.
  • Check roof space around air conditioners, solar panels, antennas and racks before installation.

Dimensions and construction

  • 23 inches long × 19-1/2 inches wide × 10-1/4 inches high.
  • Black UV-resistant thermoplastic construction.
  • Twist/quick-release mounting concept allows cover access for service on supported installations.
  • Airfoil-style dome is designed to reduce airflow restriction compared with a low enclosure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the current replacement number?

A: Dometic superseded U1400BL with 9600001937.

Q: What size opening does it fit?

A: It is intended for the common 14 × 14-inch RV roof-vent opening.

Q: Can the fan operate in rain?

A: The cover is designed to shield the vent from rain while maintaining airflow when installed correctly.

Q: What are the outside dimensions?

A: Approximately 23 inches long, 19-1/2 inches wide and 10-1/4 inches high.

Q: Will it fit under solar panels or a roof rack?

A: Only if the required external clearance is available; measure surrounding equipment before ordering.

Q: Does it replace a damaged vent lid?

A: No. It is an additional cover; the underlying vent and lid must still be serviceable and compatible.
