GEN-Y GH-1826 BOSS TORSION-FLEX 12" Drop — 3" Receiver

GH-1826 matches a 3" receiver and provides 12" drop with 6 adjustable positions. This exact manufacturer selection includes dual-ball mount and pintle lock. The rubber-torsion design adds suspension at the trailer connection.

Product Description

GH-1826 combines a 12" drop (6 adjustable positions) adjustment arrangement with the BOSS TORSION-FLEX 21K platform. The selected shank size determines the vehicle connection, while the attachment package determines what you receive; neither should be inferred from a photograph of another configuration.

The BOSS uses rubber torsion arms between the truck and trailer connection. Choose it when the trailer’s actual loaded tongue weight suits the manufacturer’s specified operating range; choosing a high maximum rating alone does not establish the best suspension match.

The selected package includes a dual-ball mount and pintle lock. Check the ball or lunette-ring connection against the exact coupling before use.

Features & Benefits

  • Receiver match: 3" shank for the corresponding vehicle receiver.
  • Height selection: 12" Drop (6 Adjustable Positions).
  • Package: Includes Dual-Ball Mount and Pintle Lock.
  • Torsion suspension: Rubber torsion arms provide movement at the hitch connection.

Compatibility & Applications

  • Verify a 3" receiver, pin-hole arrangement and clearance around the installed hitch.
  • Confirm that 12" drop and 6 positions suit the loaded trailer’s coupling height.
  • Follow the ratings marked on the actual hitch, receiver, coupling and tow vehicle; the lowest limit governs.
  • Not rated for winching or side-load applications. Check the model’s optimal loaded tongue-weight range before purchase.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What receiver does GH-1826 require?

A: This exact configuration uses a 3" shank. Measure the receiver and check its pin holes and rating; do not select a shank from the truck’s model name alone.

Q: What height adjustment does this selection provide?

A: 12" Drop (6 Adjustable Positions). Compare that range with the loaded trailer’s coupling-height requirement.

Q: Is the ball mount included?

A: Yes. The exact GH-1826 package includes a dual-ball mount. Confirm the coupling and ball ratings before towing.

Q: Is a pintle lock included?

A: Yes. This exact package includes the pintle lock. Check the manufacturer’s lunette-ring requirements before use.

Q: Does this hitch increase what my truck may tow?

A: No. Use the lowest rating of the vehicle, receiver, hitch, pin arrangement, attachment, coupling and trailer. A larger hitch rating does not raise the vehicle’s limit.

Q: How is the attachment height changed?

A: Unload and disconnect safely, remove the retaining pin, select the permitted position, then reinstall the correct pin and secure its retention device. Follow the complete user guide.

Q: Can it be used for winching?

A: No. GEN-Y excludes winching and side-load applications.

Key Points & Helpful Resources

Compare GH-1826 by receiver size, adjustment and included attachments together. The loaded tongue-weight operating range is also an important selection condition.

Why Choose This Product?

Choose the torsion-equipped configuration when its loaded operating range and coupling arrangement match the trailer. It offers a different connection design from a rigid adjustable mount; the higher tow rating alone is not the deciding feature.

Ideal For

  • Owners needing a 3" receiver connection and 12" drop.
  • Buyers wanting the specified ball mount and pintle lock included.
  • Users who have checked loaded trailer height and the complete towing system’s ratings.
