Product Description
When you think about a typical RV entry door paddle latch, it may seem economical, but it has some ergonomic issues. Small paddle latches are hard to get your hand under in order to get your entry door open. The small size presents problems, especially when your entry steps are closed, and you need to engage the latch from the ground. In most 5th wheel applications, paddle latches also tend to be very high off the ground, making them difficult to reach for many people, including children. The Lippert LatchXtend RV door handle makes it easier to access the latch on your entry door. Extending your reach by 14 Inch and offering a large, comfortable gripping surface, you can enjoy easier access with more leverage for actuating the latch on your door. This is a perfect solution for kids, seniors and those with limited mobility who may have trouble reaching the RV door latch safely or have difficulty applying the necessary force to open a standard paddle latch. In addition, the LatchXtend easy-open RV door handle helps prevent falls from entry steps. Since most motorhomes, 5th wheels and travel trailers require at least two to three steps up to enter the rig, you’re often faced with having to ascend your steps to grab the handle, then take a few steps backward down the steps to swing the door open. With LatchXtend, you can avoid this tricky footing! Instead, you can ascend a step or two, easily reach the handle, then swing the door open in front of you — no need to step backward. Returns & Cancellations
In-Stock Items
- Cancel before shipment; once shipped, standard return policy applies.
- 20% restocking fee, excluding oversize item. Both way shipping is customer responsibility under store error.
Backorders / Special Orders
- 5% restocking fee applies if canceled within 30 days.
- Non-cancellable once shipped from the manufacturer.
