This is true for crankshaft journals, connecting rods, camshaft lobes, piston rings, bearings, etc. When rebuilding a worn out engine you'll need to replace them all in order to regain the engine's original performance. And, let's face it, Jeep's need all the power we can get. Omix offers new high quality replacement engine parts to get your Jeep back on the road. This replacement piston fits 97-00 Cherokee XJ, 97-06 Wrangler TJ and 96-98 Grand Cherokee ZJ and 99-00 Grand Cherokee WJ models equipped with 2.5 or 4.0 liter engines. Standard bore. Includes wrist pin. Sold individually- use four or six depending on application. Replaces OE 4798329

  • Shipped via LTL Freight (items over 150 lbs or large dimensions).
  • We’ll confirm any added costs before shipping.

Returns & Cancellations

In-Stock Items

  • Cancel before shipment; once shipped, standard return policy applies.
  • 20% restocking fee, excluding oversize item. Both way shipping is customer responsibility under store error.

Backorders / Special Orders

  • 5% restocking fee applies if canceled within 30 days.
  • Non-cancellable once shipped from the manufacturer.
  • Refused Deliveries: Refund minus shipping & restocking fees (excludes special orders).
  • Payment Disputes: Chargebacks do not cancel orders — please contact us directly.
