REDARC CIKTP-NA-003 Tow-Pro Liberty Toyota Brake Controller Kit

A Tow-Pro Liberty installation bundle for manufacturer-listed 2015–2021 Toyota Tundra and 2016–2023 Tacoma applications. Includes the controller, Toyota harness and suitable switch insert; verify the factory towing connection before ordering.

Product Description

This Toyota-specific bundle combines the Tow-Pro Liberty brake controller with the wiring harness and switch insert identified by REDARC. A compact control head stays accessible on the dashboard while the main controller mounts securely inside the cabin, helping avoid a large dash-mounted control box.

Liberty provides inertia-sensing proportional control for compatible 12-volt electric or electric-over-hydraulic trailer brakes on one or two axles. It does not offer the Elite controller's user-controlled off-road mode. The kit also excludes the separate EBMK-001 mounting accessory. A controller installation must not be treated as increasing the truck's towing capacity.

Features & Benefits

  • The bundle includes the Tow-Pro Liberty controller and Toyota-suitable TPH-015 harness.
  • A suitable switch insert provides the intended remote-head mounting interface.
  • Proportional braking uses inertia sensing and Active Calibration.
  • Compatible 12-volt electric and electric-over-hydraulic trailer braking is supported for one or two axles.

Compatibility & Applications

  • REDARC lists this kit for Tundra 2015–2021 and Tacoma 2016–2023; confirm the factory towing connector and exact vehicle.
  • The manufacturer directs 2022–2023 Tundra installations to different harness and switch-insert components, so do not assume this bundle fits those trucks.
  • Use with compatible 12-volt systems and trailers with one or two braking axles; 24-volt and three-axle setups are not listed as supported.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Which Toyota applications are listed for this bundle?

A: REDARC lists 2015–2021 Tundra and 2016–2023 Tacoma. Confirm the factory towing connection and exact installation configuration.

Q: Is the brake controller included?

A: Yes. The bundle includes a Tow-Pro Liberty controller, the Toyota-suitable TPH-015 harness and a suitable switch insert.

Q: Does it fit the 2022–2023 Tundra?

A: Do not assume so. REDARC lists different harness and switch-insert components for those Tundra model years.

Q: Can it operate electric-over-hydraulic trailer brakes?

A: Yes, Liberty supports compatible electric and electric-over-hydraulic brakes in the listed 12-volt, one- or two-axle setup.

Q: Does Liberty have a user-controlled off-road mode?

A: No. This controller uses proportional braking; the user-controlled off-road mode belongs to a different controller configuration.

Q: Is the EBMK-001 mounting accessory included?

A: No. REDARC explicitly excludes that separate mounting kit from this bundle.

Q: Will it support a 24-volt truck or a three-axle trailer?

A: No. The manufacturer lists 12-volt vehicle systems and trailers with one or two braking axles for this controller.

Q: What installation and warranty guidance is available?

A: REDARC recommends a qualified installer, provides a controller manual and lists a two-year manufacturer warranty subject to its terms.

Key Points & Helpful Resources

Check both the vehicle connection and trailer brake configuration. A Toyota-specific bundle is more than a controller-only purchase, but its listed applications must still match the truck.

Why Choose This Product?

For a supported Tundra or Tacoma, this bundle coordinates the controller, vehicle harness and switch insert in one selection. It is useful when you want Liberty's compact dashboard control without accidentally ordering an Elite bundle or a harness for a different Toyota generation.

Ideal For

  • Owners of the listed Toyota vehicles adding compatible proportional trailer-brake control.
  • Installers selecting a coordinated Liberty, harness and switch-insert package.
  • Drivers towing a supported one- or two-axle trailer with electric or electric-over-hydraulic brakes.
